I visited with my wife this past Saturday on the bike and the experience was fantastic. 1. Scenic Ride: The bike ride up to the fort is exhilarating, offering winding roads and breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys, especially in the early morning. 2. Historic Charm: The ancient architecture and massive gates are well-preserved, providing a great sense of Maratha history. 3. Authentic Food: You cannot leave without trying the local Pithla-Bhakri and the famous curd (dahi) served in earthen pots; it’s the highlight of the trip. 4. Great Views: The panoramas from the top are incredible, making it a perfect spot for photography and enjoying the fresh breeze. Overall, it’s a perfect weekend getaway for couples and adventure seekers alike. Highly recommended!

a month agoWent on a weekend was crowded a bit . 1. Best time to trek is 7 to 9 AM 2. One can use public transport also bus no 50 plies between Shaniwarwada and the Sinhagad trekking point 3.At the top , found the food that not good considering the price 180 4.Would recommend shoes with good trip and water bottle

3 months agoThe trek or road climb is fun and not too long. The view from the top is amazing, especially during monsoon when everything turns lush green. Clouds move around you, sometimes covering everything, and the wind feels like it can lift you up. It’s peaceful, refreshing, and worth the trip. Food stalls at the top serve authentic rural Maharashtrian food—pithla-bhakri, curd, kanda bhaji, and lime sharbat. After the climb, it tastes even better. It’s a perfect weekend spot for nature lovers, trekkers, history fans, or anyone needing a break from the city.

2 weeks agoSinhgad Fort is one of the most amazing and peaceful places near Pune. It is not just a tourist spot, but a place filled with history and emotions. The fort has been a very important part of Maratha history and played a key role during the time of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Many brave soldiers fought here, and when you walk around the fort, you can still feel the vibe of the past through its old walls, gates, and ruins. For trekking lovers, Sinhgad is a great destination. The trek is not too tough, so even beginners can try it, and the path is surrounded by beautiful greenery, especially during the monsoon. Walking uphill, feeling the cool breeze, and seeing the scenic views makes the whole experience very refreshing. Reaching the top after the trek gives a real sense of achievement. It is also a perfect place to just sit, relax, and chill with nature. You can spend hours sitting on the fort, watching the clouds, enjoying the wind, and forgetting all your stress. The atmosphere is calm, peaceful, and refreshing, making it a great weekend escape from city life. If you don’t feel like trekking, you don’t have to worry because you can easily go up by car as well. Whether you trek or drive, Sinhgad Fort is totally worth visiting for its beauty, history, and peaceful vibes.

a month agoSinhagad Fort, Pune, is mainly worth visiting for the drive and the scenic views rather than the fort itself. The road leading up to the starting point of the fort is good and smooth, making the drive comfortable and enjoyable. The surrounding views from this point are quite nice, especially in good weather. However, it is best to just reach the starting point of the fort. Going further inside is not very rewarding, as the fort area is not well maintained. Unfortunately, there is garbage thrown around by visitors, which spoils the natural beauty and overall experience. The lack of cleanliness and maintenance is clearly noticeable. Apart from enjoying the view and the drive, there is honestly nothing much to do at the fort. The structures are basic, and there are no proper facilities or efforts to preserve the place. After spending a short time, most people simply turn back and drive down. Overall, Sinhagad Fort is okay for a short drive and a quick break from the city, but expectations should be kept low regarding the fort experience. It would be much better if cleanliness and maintenance were improved. Good for a one-time visit, mainly for the road and the view.
