3 weeks agoI recently visited Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru and was really impressed by its beautiful architecture and grand appearance. The building looks very impressive from the outside, especially because of its large size, detailed design and traditional architectural style. The area around Vidhana Soudha is clean and well maintained, and it is one of the most noticeable landmarks in Bengaluru. I enjoyed spending some time here and taking photographs of the building and its surroundings. The place also gives a good feeling of the history and importance of Karnataka. It is a great location for tourists and anyone visiting Bengaluru for the first time. Even if you are interested in architecture, photography or exploring famous places in the city, Vidhana Soudha is worth seeing. I visited the place mainly to see the famous building and its surroundings, and I really liked the overall experience. The grand structure looks even better when viewed from a little distance. Overall, Vidhana Soudha is one of the must-visit landmarks in Bengaluru. I would definitely recommend visiting this place while exploring the city.

Standing before India's largest state legislative building, I was truly amazed by its sheer grandeur, elegant design, and historical significance. Popularly known as the **"Taj Mahal of South India,"** this magnificent monument is a perfect blend of **Neo-Dravidian, Dravidian, and Indo-Saracenic architecture**, making it one of Bengaluru's most iconic landmarks. Completed in **1956**, this architectural masterpiece was envisioned by former Chief Minister **Kengal Hanumanthaiah** and designed by architect **B.R. Manickam**. It's incredible to know that such a monumental structure was built at a remarkably economical cost of **₹1.75 crore**, reflecting outstanding planning and craftsmanship. One of the most inspiring aspects of its history is that thousands of local prison convicts worked on its construction, and upon its successful completion, many of them were granted their freedom. This remarkable story adds a unique human touch to the monument's legacy and makes its history even more meaningful. The grand white granite structure is impressive from every angle, with its massive pillars, ornate arches, domes and beautifully detailed façade reflecting a blend of traditional Indian architectural styles. Surrounded by lush green lawns and mature trees, the building creates a striking contrast between Bengaluru’s bustling city life and its calm, landscaped surroundings. The area around Vidhana Soudha is equally scenic, with Cubbon Park, Attara Kacheri and the Karnataka High Court located nearby, making this an excellent stretch for architecture and heritage lovers. The broad avenues and open spaces around the building offer some fantastic photography opportunities, especially when viewed from a distance. A must-visit Bengaluru landmark—grand, historic and beautifully framed by greenery, making it one of the city’s most iconic sights.

2 months agoVidhana Soudha is an absolute must-visit landmark in Bangalore. Built in the Neo-Dravidian style, the grand granite structure and intricate carving details are breathtaking. Seeing it illuminated on Sunday evenings and public holidays is an unforgettable experience—the glowing dome against the night sky looks royal. While entry inside the state legislature is restricted to authorized personnel, viewing it from the well-maintained lawn and taking photographs from outside is worth every moment. Highly recommended to visit around sunset!

4 months agoOne of the spectacular buildings in Bengaluru. Do not miss visiting this place in the city. Vidhan Sabha is thoughtfully built and has an appealing architecture. Although you cannot enter the premises you can have a view of the building from outside. The magnificent building is worth admiring. You can click pictures and spend some time here. The best to visit is during sunset.
