* Operating Hours: Open daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. * Best Time for Sunrise: Arrive by 5:30 AM to queue at the base gate, which typically opens around 6:00 AM. * Last Admission: Entry generally closes by 5:00 PM. ## Tickets & Entry Fees * Adult Entry: Approximately ₹10 – ₹20 per person. * Shuttle Bus: If parking below the hilltop, a shuttle bus to the viewpoint costs ₹25 per person. * Camera Fee: Around ₹50 for professional cameras. ## Parking Information Parking fees often vary between weekdays and weekends to manage heavy crowds. * Two-Wheelers: ₹30 (Weekdays) to ₹70 (Weekends/Inclusive packages). * Cars: ₹60 (Weekdays) up to ₹150 (Weekends/Hilltop). * Heavy Vehicles: ₹150 – ₹250 depending on the day. Traveler Tip: Carry physical cash, as mobile network at the hilltop is often too weak for UPI or digital payments. Perched at 1,478m, Nandi Hills is the ultimate sunrise escape from Bengaluru. As a trekker, I loved the mist-covered trails leading to the summit—it’s refreshing and beginner-friendly. Beyond the views, the Yoga Nandeeshwara Temple offers a serene spiritual vibe, while the historical Tipu’s Drop and his summer residence showcase the hill's strategic past. The pre-sunrise entry is popular, so arrive by 5:30 AM. Recent updates include improved pathways and eco-zones. It’s a perfect blend of nature, heritage, and soul-searching!

Had an amazing early morning bike ride to Nandi Hills. The ride itself was peaceful with smooth roads, beautiful curves, and cool weather throughout the journey. As we climbed higher, the fresh breeze and greenery made the experience even better. The sunrise view from the top was absolutely stunning and worth waking up early for. The atmosphere feels calm, refreshing, and away from the city rush. A perfect weekend getaway for bike riders, photographers, and nature lovers. Roads are well maintained, and the overall vibe of the place makes you want to visit again.

Visited Nandi Hills on a weekday, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. The sunset view was breathtaking and truly worth the visit. The entire place was well maintained in terms of basic amenities — ample facilities were provided for visitors, including clean restrooms, proper lighting across the area, and well-organized car parking. The overall arrangements make it very convenient and comfortable for tourists. However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved to make it even more public-friendly. Some visitors tend to drink and leave bottles behind, which affects the beauty of the place. Cleanliness is another aspect where the authorities could step up efforts a bit more to preserve the natural charm of the hills. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy nature, especially during sunset. With a little more focus on cleanliness and monitoring, it could become even better.

Visiting Nandi Hills was a wonderful experience and one of the best short trips near Bengaluru. The place is famous for its scenic beauty, cool climate, and peaceful atmosphere, and it truly lives up to its reputation. The drive to the top itself is enjoyable, with smooth roads, sharp turns, and beautiful views all around. It is especially great for bike rides and early morning trips with friends. The sunrise at Nandi Hills is the main highlight. Watching the sun rise above the clouds with the cool breeze and mist covering the hills creates a breathtaking view. The atmosphere feels calm and refreshing, making it a perfect escape from the busy city life. The greenery around the hills and the fresh air make the whole experience even better. There are many viewpoints where you can stop, take photos, and enjoy the natural beauty. The place is well maintained, and there are also some small food stalls and shops nearby for snacks and tea. It’s a good destination for photography lovers, nature lovers, and anyone who wants a relaxing trip. Overall, Nandi Hills is an excellent place for a weekend outing, especially for sunrise lovers and bike riders. The combination of beautiful views, peaceful surroundings, and pleasant weather makes it a must-visit spot near Bengaluru. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refreshing getaway.

Visited Nandi Hills recently and overall it’s a good place for a quick early morning trip, especially for sunrise lovers. The weather is pleasant and the hilltop views are genuinely beautiful when clouds settle below, giving that perfect “above the clouds” experience. However, there are some practical issues that need improvement. The sunrise viewpoint, which is the main attraction, suffers from poor cleanliness. After weekends or heavy crowd days, you can easily notice plastic bottles, food wrappers, and general litter around the viewing areas. This takes away from the natural charm of the place. Another major concern is the lack of proper directional signage. Once you enter the hill area, it’s quite confusing to find the exact route to the main sunrise viewpoint or even nearby temples. First-time visitors may end up walking extra or missing the best viewing spots. Clear signboards would really help improve the experience. For getting the perfect view, timing and positioning matter a lot. You need to reach as early as possible (ideally before 6 AM) and move quickly towards popular spots like Tipu’s Drop or the main railing viewpoint. Otherwise, crowds can block the view completely. Overall, it’s definitely worth visiting once for the sunrise and scenic beauty, but better maintenance, cleanliness, and proper directions would make it a much more enjoyable and hassle-free destination.
