a month agoQutb Shahi Tombs is a beautiful and peaceful historical place in Hyderabad. The architecture is stunning, and the entire complex has a unique old-world charm. The tombs, domes, gardens, and detailed stonework are really impressive, especially when you take your time to walk around and explore. I visited during the afternoon and it was quite sunny, so I would definitely recommend going in the morning or evening, especially if you plan to walk around the entire complex. Carry water, wear comfortable footwear, and keep sunscreen with you. Overall, a great place for history lovers, photography, and anyone who wants to experience a quieter side of Hyderabad. Definitely worth visiting at least once!

4 weeks agoVisited these tombs, and I have to say the architecture is truly beautiful. The tombs were built remarkably well for their time, showcasing the incredible craftsmanship of that era. Hats off to the Archaeology Department for restoring and preserving them so well. The surrounding garden area is also beautifully maintained.

Located close to Golconda Fort, this magnificent complex contains the tombs of the rulers of the Qutb Shahi dynasty, along with members of the royal family and other important figures. The tombs were built primarily during the 16th and 17th centuries and showcase a fascinating blend of Persian, Indian, and Deccani architectural influences. Their distinctive domes, arches, ornamental details, and elevated platforms create an impressive architectural landscape. One of the most striking aspects of the complex is its peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by landscaped gardens and historic structures, the site provides a quieter experience compared with some of Hyderabad’s busier tourist attractions. Each tomb has its own architectural character, making the complex particularly interesting for photographers and history enthusiasts. 🕘 Visiting Hours: Generally 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM 🎟️ Entry Fee: 20 rupees per person and you have to pay 50 rupees for mobile photography. a month agoVisited the Qutb Shahi Tombs recently, and this was one of the most beautiful heritage sites I explored in Hyderabad. The entire complex has a very peaceful atmosphere, and the combination of historic architecture, open green spaces and the surrounding landscape makes it quite different from many of the busier attractions in the city. The main highlight is, of course, the architecture of the tombs. The domes, arches, intricate stonework and Indo-Islamic design are impressive, and each tomb has its own character. Walking through the complex gives you a good sense of the architectural style associated with the Qutb Shahi dynasty and Hyderabad's early history. I particularly enjoyed seeing the different tomb structures together in one complex. Some are large and elaborate, while others are comparatively understated, and the contrast makes the walk interesting. The restoration work has also helped preserve the details and overall character of the site. The surroundings add a lot to the experience. Unlike a museum where you're moving from room to room, here you can take your time walking between the monuments, appreciate the architecture from different angles and simply enjoy the quiet atmosphere. It's also a great place for photography, especially if you enjoy heritage architecture. I'd recommend keeping around 1–2 hours for the visit so you don't have to rush through the complex. It can also be conveniently combined with Golconda Fort, since both are part of the same broader historical area. Overall, Qutb Shahi Tombs is definitely worth visiting if you're exploring Hyderabad's history and heritage. The beautiful architecture, peaceful surroundings and historical significance make it a memorable stop and one of the places I'd recommend including in an Old Hyderabad itinerary.
