I went to Lodhi Garden with my mumma for a simple picnic, and honestly it was such a nice, peaceful experience. It’s a really cozy place to just slow down, walk around, sit on the grass, and spend time without any rush. The garden is huge, like genuinely very big, so be ready to walk a lot. We kept discovering new corners while walking, which made it even nicer. I noticed a lot of couples around, but it still didn’t feel uncomfortable or crowded. Everyone was just doing their own thing, enjoying the calm vibe. One of the best parts is that the entry is completely free, which is honestly great for a place this well-maintained and beautiful. It feels green, open, and refreshing, especially if you want a break from the usual city noise. After walking around for a while, we just sat down, relaxed, and enjoyed the moment. For anyone planning to visit, it’s usually open from early morning till evening, and the nearest metro stations are Jor Bagh and Central Secretariat. A small tip would be to wear comfortable footwear because you’ll end up walking more than you expect, and if you’re going for a picnic, carry a mat or cloth to sit on. Overall, it’s a lovely place for picnics, long walks, quiet talks, or even just some alone time with nature. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Delhi.

This is a beautiful garden of a historical site built in the 1500s. This place welcomes you with the monuments of the Lodi dynasty built on a square foundation. It is a healthy space here with lots of greenery around. It also has parks for children, gym parks for fitness enthusiasts. This is also a space for bird watching with about 6-7 specific birds. There's a beautiful, calming lake as well. In short, it encapsulates the fun you are looking for in just one place. People nearby come to take a walk, or run or do gym excercise here on a daily basis. The other good part is it is free. So, Yeah!!! It's a place to visit alone or with your loved ones. While getting to this place from the metro, either you can walk or take ola/ uber/ rapido cause' the auto rickshaws charge you more. If it's late in the evening, then you have to take the auto, cause' it would come around the same price especially if you are coming out of the garden. There are some snacks available outside which you can purchase and take it in.. So, there are no vendors inside.. Drinking water facility and public wahsrooms are available here. All in all, take a moment to pause and breathe.. enjoy the weather, the greenery. If you are planning for a photoshoot, and especially if you are a lady... I seriously suggest, you wear ethnic! Yeah, ethnic!!! With bright colours goes so well with the dullness of the age old buildings. Please go ahead. Have fun and take care 😊

I recently visited Lodhi Garden and was blown away by its serene beauty! The park is impeccably maintained, with lush greenery and vibrant flowers making it a perfect spot for a morning walk or picnic. However, I was disappointed to see that the historical architectures within the garden are not getting the same level of care. Many of the structures, like the tombs and monuments, show signs of erosion and neglect, which is heartbreaking to see. Despite this, the garden remains a must-visit, and I'd urge the authorities to take steps to preserve these historical treasures. The best part? Entry is FREE! It's a great spot for exercise and running, and the lake is a lovely sight with lots of ducks and a dedicated duck house - it was so cute to see them wading around! You can also bring your furry friends along (as long as they're leashed and leave by 5 PM). If you're looking for a peaceful escape from the city's chaos, Lodhi Garden is the place to be!

Lodhi Garden – A Peaceful Escape in the Heart of Delhi Lodhi Garden is one of the few places in Delhi where history, nature, and calmness come together beautifully. Spread across vast green spaces in South Delhi, it offers a refreshing break from the city’s noise and traffic. The moment you enter, you feel the shift in atmosphere — cool shade from tall trees, birds singing, joggers passing by, and wide lawns that make you forget you are in a busy metro. The highlight of Lodhi Garden is its blend of natural beauty with stunning historical monuments from the 15th century. The famous structures like Sikandar Lodi Tomb, Muhammad Shah’s Tomb, and the Shisha Gumbad stand proudly among the greenery, giving the place a timeless charm. These monuments are well-preserved and surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens, making them perfect for photography, casual walks, or simply sitting quietly and enjoying the ancient architecture. The walking tracks are long, clean, and ideal for morning walks, running, or even light workouts. Many people come here at sunrise, when the garden is at its most peaceful. Families, couples, photographers, and nature lovers all find their space without disturbing each other. It’s also a great picnic spot, especially during winter months. One of the biggest positives of Lodhi Garden is that despite being so popular, it never feels overwhelmingly crowded because of its size. There are plenty of seating spots, water bodies, flowering plants, and shaded corners to relax. The overall maintenance is impressive, and the atmosphere feels safe and welcoming. Whether you are a tourist exploring Delhi or a local resident looking to unwind, Lodhi Garden is truly worth visiting. It offers a perfect balance of serenity, history, and natural beauty — a place where you can breathe, reflect, and slow down for a while.
