This was the first place i visited post landing in Bengaluru. I visited on weekend so it was a bit crowded but still manageable to exploration. The palace is 19th Century royal landmark owned by Mysore royal family. The architecture mostly looks like England's Castle 🏰. There is a minimal entry fee around 300₹ I don't remember exactly. Upon entering they will provide ipods which contains the audiophiles of the architecture and pictures described properly. They will take out while exiting. I really like this particular feature of audio books. 🎧 The palace is strictly prohibited for any kind of photography or videography. The inside view is pleasing and depicts the history of Karnataka ✨. I particularly liked the outer view of the palace. Overall nice experience. ⛩️

Very good experience to see the inside of palace and it's room and office. The garden outside the palace is also very big and beautiful, but maintenance can be improved. They charge around 300 Rs per person to see the inside of palace. Large car parking also available. Audio guide available with the entry ticket. Entry price can be reduced. No photos allowed inside

Bangalore Palace is famous for its striking Tudor-style architecture modeled after Windsor Castle, featuring fortified towers, elegant wood carvings, and opulent interior decor. It is renowned for its vast collection of 19th-century paintings (including Raja Ravi Varma), chandeliers, and Tudor-style interiors. Key features and highlights of Bangalore Palace include: Architecture: A blend of Tudor and Scottish Gothic styles with Tudor-style architecture. Interiors: Ornate, vine-covered walls, stained glass windows, and luxurious, old-fashioned chandeliers. Artifacts & Art: A curated museum containing memorabilia, old photographs of the Wadiyar dynasty, and paintings. Woodwork: Intricate, high-quality wood carvings and structures, particularly in the ballroom and darbar hall. Grounds: Expansive, well-maintained gardens that host major concerts, cultural events, and exhibitions. The palace was built in the 19th century and remains a major tourist attraction, having served as a private residence for the Wadiyar dynasty. Audio guide available. For that carry physical aadhar card or driving licence. You can keep your mobile with you but photography inside is not allowed. Plenty of parking available. No charge for parking.

Bangalore Palace is a well-maintained heritage attraction that offers a glimpse into the royal history of Bengaluru. The palace architecture is impressive, and the exterior of the building provides excellent opportunities for photography. Visitors can capture beautiful landscape shots as well as selfies with the palace as a backdrop. One positive aspect is that entry is free for differently-abled visitors, which is a thoughtful initiative. Inside the palace, there is a complimentary app-based audio guide that explains the history of the palace and provides information about the various rooms, artifacts, paintings, and royal memorabilia. The audio guide is informative and helps enhance the overall experience. However, I found the entry fee of ₹300 per person to be quite expensive. Another disappointment was that photography is not allowed inside the palace despite the relatively high ticket price. For many visitors, this may reduce the overall value of the experience. The visit itself does not take very long. Around 30 minutes to 1 hour is generally sufficient to explore the palace and listen to the audio guide comfortably. Overall, Bangalore Palace is worth considering if you enjoy visiting historical palaces, learning about royal heritage, and don't mind paying the entry fee. If photography is your main interest, you'll be limited to taking pictures from the outside, where the palace looks most impressive anyway.
