If you found this place, you had a good guide! I thought it was Portuguese, but it's actually British. Black as the basaltic rock that rises from the sea, Worli Fort gives a great overview of the bay and the city. It features the classic crenelations and ramparts of the 17th century, and guards the golf from the tip of this tongue of land. The fort now is not officially maintained or "open to the public". In fact, it seems even locals don’t know about it, but my friend brought me here cause she heard it’s nice. It is accessible for explorer types, and is basically left abandoned. The fort is simply used by people in this neighborhood for storage, hang out, kids play space, etc. Some clothes left out to dry on the sides, and some barrels and stuff in the rooms below. Here we met a couple of guys from the city, chilling, listening to cool music, they welcomed us to chat. It smelled of sea salt, soap, garbage, fish and rats, and the breeze brought “fresh” air from the sea. As a first time visitor in India, I was in culture shock. Seeing everything was kind of like a dreamy, surreal landscape. So I probably romanticized it too much, for the place is a slum surrounded by a garbage dump, and people here have little chance to better their days, but they were happy, kind and curious. It was an interesting and humbling experience, worth respect.

This is the one of the best place to have mumbai's view, only drawback I noticed was connectivity from metro, etc, still it is walkable if alone or not with family, you will have to cross koliwada but the road is good must go in good rainy weather clear sunset time.

This is the best experience. After the narrow lanes of Worli Koliwada village, you can reach here, and the best thing you can see is the view.

Worli Fort and Worli Koliwada offer a beautiful mix of Mumbai’s history, culture, and sea views. The fort gives a peaceful vibe with stunning views of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, especially during sunset. The narrow lanes of Worli Koliwada showcase the authentic charm of Mumbai’s fishing community and local lifestyle. It’s a great place for photography, exploring hidden corners of the city, and enjoying calm moments away from the busy streets. The atmosphere feels raw, real, and deeply connected to Mumbai’s heritage. Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy historic places and scenic coastal views.

Historical place but due to surroundings are not well maintained, it lost its natural beauty. The fort walls are still in good conditions. If you ar visiting worli village you can visit atleast one time.
