A perfect spot for nature lovers! Beautiful wildlife, dense forest views, and stunning dam scenery. The water landscape is breathtaking, and both sunrise and sunset are a must-watch.

Tanasa Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful and peaceful destination for nature and wildlife lovers. The sanctuary is rich with greenery, fresh air, and a variety of flora and fauna, making it a perfect escape from the city rush. Birdwatching here is a delightful experience, and lucky visitors may also spot different wild animals in their natural habitat. The calm environment makes it ideal for photography, trekking, and spending quality time with friends and family. Proper guidance from locals or forest staff is helpful to explore the area better. With more facilities like signboards, seating, and information points, this sanctuary can become an even greater attraction. Still, the untouched beauty and serene surroundings make it a must-visit for anyone who loves being close to nature.

Its beautiful and dense forest. Need forest department and BMC permission. Got down near forest department office to click few pics. Best to visit during monsoon season. Few resorts are there near lake.

The surrounding of Tansa is lush green. We can enjoy the greenery and wild environment with our friends and family. Avoid to spoil with plastic garbage.

Drive is scenic, roads are narrow but in good condition and you will take 2 hours from mumbai. However you can’t go to the lake as it’s under municipal jurisdiction and not much to do in sanctuary as well. Make sure our you go and plan to spend time there, take something to eat or drink as there are no shops here. Good for picnic with family
