The Vibe (5/5): Known as the "Hill of the Clouds," Nandi Hills is the ultimate sunrise spot near Bengaluru. At 4,850 feet, the view of the sun rising over a blanket of mist is magical. It’s a mix of historical ruins (Tipu Sultan’s summer retreat) and refreshing nature. The Experience (4/5): • Sunrise: You must reach the gates by 5:00 AM to beat the massive queues. The gates open at 6:00 AM, but the line of cars and bikes starts much earlier. • Activities: Great for a short trek (1,200 steps), cycling up the 40+ hairpin bends, or just walking through the gardens and visiting the ancient Yoga Nandeeshwara Temple. • Crowds: This is the biggest drawback. On weekends, it can feel more like a busy market than a peaceful hill station. Food & Facilities: • Food options are limited at the top (mostly small stalls and one KSTDC restaurant). It’s better to have breakfast at the famous Paakashala or other eateries at the base of the hill. • Watch out for monkeys! They are very bold and will grab food right out of your hands or bags. Quick Tips for 2026: 1. Go on a Weekday: If you want peace, avoid Saturdays and Sundays at all costs. 2. Check for Bans: Occasionally, authorities ban entry on specific holidays (like New Year’s) to control crowds, so check local news before leaving. 3. Adiyogi Statue: Combine your trip with a visit to the Isha Foundation (Chikkaballapur) nearby to see the massive Adiyogi statue and the evening light show.

I recently visited Nandi Hills, and it turned out to be one of the most peaceful and refreshing experiences I’ve had in a long time. The drive itself was beautiful, especially as we climbed higher and the city noise slowly faded away. Reaching early morning was totally worth it—the cool breeze, the mist floating around, and the soft golden light of the sunrise created a magical atmosphere. Standing at the viewpoint, watching the sun rise above the clouds, felt calm and grounding, almost like time slowed down for a while. The place is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for nature lovers. Walking around, breathing in the fresh air, and enjoying the greenery was deeply relaxing. Spots like Tipu’s Drop add a touch of history, while the wide views of hills and valleys make it a photographer’s delight. What I loved most was the overall vibe—quiet, soothing, and far removed from daily stress. Whether you’re visiting with friends, family, or even solo, Nandi Hills gives you that much-needed pause from routine life. Overall, it’s a perfect short getaway from Bengaluru. I left feeling refreshed, lighter, and already planning to visit again—this time maybe with a cup of hot coffee in hand, watching the clouds drift by.

Recently visited Nandi Hills with my friends, located about 50 km from Bangalore, and it turned out to be a truly refreshing and memorable experience. From the moment we reached the top, the cool climate and fresh air instantly changed our mood. The scenic views, lush greenery, and peaceful surroundings make this place a paradise for nature lovers. The panoramic view from the hilltop is absolutely stunning, especially during early morning hours. It’s a perfect spot for photography, relaxing walks, and spending quality time with friends. The place is well-maintained, and the journey itself is smooth and enjoyable. Nandi Hills is an ideal destination for a short weekend trip or a quick break from the busy city life of Bangalore. Highly recommended for friends, couples, and nature enthusiasts. A must-visit place near Bangalore.......!!!!

Gates will open at around ½an hour before sunrise. At weekend, there will be much traffic, so better to go early. Entry fee during our visit was ₹20/person and car parking fee was ₹100 (for bike it'll be ₹50). After parking you need to go up a bit, then you can visualise a beautiful sunrise 🌄. Seeing the sunrise makes you feel-everything was worthy enough. There's one garden you can visit and spent the time. Don't miss the Tippu drop point, Sunrise view point, Chikballapur view point The garden Some calm resting places

I went to Nandhi Hills on 30th Tuesday. Found less people on the way but as soon as I enter the Nandhi hills it was crowded. Few things to note - You will require a ticket which ia sold at the ticket counter on right sode of entrance. Per person ticket price is 20 INR and for a notorcycle 30 INR. There is also a counter to keep Helmet. Now there are plenty of outlets to eat from and Toilets are everywhere so even if you miss one on the entrance do not worry. You will find one while you are exploring the place. When you go to sunrise view point you will see open auditorium kind setup and you can see the sunrise from there. Now in December its complete Fog so no proper sunrise. The best time to visit this place is around 9 to 10am when you can see actual view of the surroundings and you can even get sunset view. There are temples at place and all of them were closed. Not sure why. If you found out let me know. Overall, too overhyped place. Nothing to see and not even maintained properly.
