Marine drive. Wow it’s an amazing place with beautiful view. Well maintained by the Mumbai authority. A lot of young people gathered here in evening to watch the amazing sunset. The breeze here is so great. Romantic mood. Love the vibes here. Saw the India cricket team players staying in the hotel Trident in front of marine drive. Stay my almost 4 hours here with my loved one. Traffic is really an issue here.

Marine Drive, officially known as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road, is one of Mumbai’s most iconic waterfront stretches, running along the Arabian Sea from Nariman Point to Girgaum Chowpatty in South Mumbai. The curved boulevard, often called the “Queen’s Necklace” because of its night-time lights, offers a wide promenade ideal for walking, jogging, and sitting by the sea, especially during sunset when the skyline and cool breeze create a relaxing atmosphere. The surrounding roads are well maintained compared to many parts of the city, but traffic can be heavy during office hours since Nariman Point is a major business district. Evenings and weekends also see congestion due to visitors. Connectivity is strong — the nearest railway stations are Churchgate and Marine Lines on the Western Line, both within walking distance. Buses, taxis, and app cabs are easily available, and reaching from the airport takes about 45–60 minutes depending on traffic. Parking is limited along the road. Food options are easily accessible nearby, especially around Churchgate, Nariman Point, and Girgaum Chowpatty, where you’ll find everything from street food like bhel puri and pav bhaji to well-known cafés and fine-dining restaurants. The crowd is mixed — office workers, tourists, joggers, college students, and families — creating a lively yet generally safe public environment. The area is surrounded by reputed schools, colleges, and offices, adding to its urban character. Essential services such as hospitals (like Bombay Hospital nearby), pharmacies, banks, and police stations are available within a short distance due to the central location. Overall, Marine Drive is clean, accessible, and scenic, making it one of the best free attractions in Mumbai. While traffic and crowd levels can increase during peak hours, the sea view, open space, and strong transport connectivity make it a must-visit spot for both tourists and locals looking to experience the true vibe of Mumbai.

Amazing place with breathtaking views and a great vibe. The highlight was definitely the stunning sunset along with the beautiful Queen’s Necklace view at night — something you should absolutely not miss. A perfect spot to relax, click pictures, and enjoy the scenic beauty.

Wow, Marine Drive. What a beautiful location. Also known as the Queen’s Necklace. I stayed at Trident Nariman Point and do Marine Drive was on the doorstep so I was frequently here. Marine Drive is obviously a beautiful view of many buildings along the coast, and also doubles up as a very busy place for people meeting and taking pics. Beautiful place. Looks great in both day and night too!
