7 months agoMani Bhavan Gandhi Museum in Mumbai is a small yet deeply inspiring place that offers a glimpse into Mahatma Gandhi’s life and work. It was his headquarters during the freedom movement from 1917 to 1934. The museum houses photographs, letters, and personal belongings, along with a library and a room preserved just as he left it. It's a peaceful, thought-provoking visit for anyone interested in India’s history and Gandhi’s legacy. Definitely worth a short stop while exploring Mumbai.

4 months agoIt is an original historical place with artefacts. To be here like breath and see the same as Mahatma, Ali Jinhna, Neru, and many other most important for Indian independence persons. There is the original Gandhi library also.

2 months agoIt's about as far removed from a 21st century tourist attraction as you can get. Which is entirely fitting! Downstairs and in much of the upstairs space, it's quite bare, but it's just amazing to be in the house. The dioramas are well presented and informative and there's an interesting display of correspondence and photos. Well worth a visit.

3 weeks agoIt is a good place for history lovers. Contains a lot of images and miniature replicas of various events related to Gandhiji's life and India's freedom struggles. Though these photos can be viewed online as well, it would be a feel-good activity to view it in the museum, especially for school kids. There is a library as well, which is open only on weekdays.
