• The Malabar hill forest trail is truly a beautifully developed spot, offering a picturesque view of the city. • The walkway through the hill surrounded by lush green trees feels so calming & soothing, which definitely relaxes the soul. • Walking through the trail, I could hear the sound of birds chirping, a rare treat in a city so full of noise. • There are informative plaques regarding the local biodiversity along the path, making the experience not just relaxing but educational as well. • The entry booking process, which is completely online, is very convenient to book a slot. One has to book at least a day prior to the visit. As on the spot, booking isn't available online. • A must visit place in Mumbai definitely💯

Malabar Hills Walkway – A Soulful Sunday Morning 🌧️✨ Woke up before the city did—got the 5 AM slot, so I left home at 4 AM, riding through the sleepy streets on my Bullet from Thane, earpods in, music setting the mood. It was still dark and gently raining, giving everything a quiet, cinematic vibe. By the time I reached the Malabar Hills Walkway, the birds were already singing—nature’s alarm clock, way ahead of humans. The sound of the ocean echoed in the background, and even Beach looked unbelievably clear and calm. It felt like the world paused for a moment. No noise, no chaos—just rain, wind, and nature doing its thing. One of the most peaceful Sundays I’ve had in a long time. If you ever want to experience the city’s softer side—before the world wakes up—this walk is magic. 🌊🕊️

The newly developed forest trail at Malabar Hill is a commendable initiative that brings a touch of nature into the heart of the city. Though the effort is appreciated, the trail itself is quite small and may not meet expectations of a long nature walk. One of the highlights of the trail is the pleasant chirping of birds that can be heard throughout the walk, adding a peaceful, natural ambiance. However, this serenity is often interrupted by the loud sounds of ongoing construction from nearby buildings, which can take away from the experience. Toilet facilities are lacking and should be made available closer to the starting point. At present, the washrooms are located far ahead, which can be inconvenient, especially for senior citizens who may find it difficult to walk long distances without a break. We visited during the 7–8 AM slot, yet the heat was already quite intense. It’s best to plan a visit when the sun is not too harsh—early morning or late evening would be ideal. Overall, it’s worth visiting once to appreciate the effort and enjoy a short escape into nature. However, a few improvements, particularly in terms of amenities and noise reduction, would greatly enhance the experience

Lush green wooden walkway in the urban concrete landscape. Good view admist trees of the Girgaum chowpaty. Queens Necklace. The view is better from Hanging garden though. During summer best time to visit is in the evening after 4pm. 1 Hr slots are available for this trail starting at 5am in the morning till 9pm evening. If you are planning to visit over the weekend pre-book the slot online. If you are travelling from far of distance to visit this place you may get disappointment due to short trail walk. The entire area is under CCTV surveillance and there are speakers installed on the walk way. Security guards call back the group who went in on a particular slot for making room to the other slot people waiting in the queue outside. During entry and exit the guards scan the booking QR code for each person. If you are the last one to go in or come out, do remember to get the phone from the guard.Eating and throwing trash down the trail is strict No as you are constantly monitored. There are names of the trees, birds found or seen on the trail.

Malabar Hill is a beautiful spot surrounded by nature, offering a peaceful and relaxing vibe. It’s a great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. I’ve visited this place several times before and have always appreciated its calm atmosphere and natural beauty. Recently, the property has undergone renovations and there have been a few noticeable changes. While it’s clear that efforts have been made to improve the space. I personally didn’t feel that the upgrades justified the new higher entry fee. Some areas look refreshed but the overall experience felt quite similar to what it used to be before the renovation. If you’re visiting for the first time, you’ll likely enjoy the quiet surroundings and greenery. It’s a nice place for nature lovers, families or anyone looking to spend a peaceful day outdoors. However, for returning visitors who have seen Malabar Hill in its earlier form the changes might not feel significant enough to warrant the increased cost. Overall, it’s still a lovely place to visit but I’d recommend setting expectations accordingly. especially if you’ve been there before and are expecting something dramatically different.
