a week agoVisiting the Lotus Temple was a calm and refreshing experience. The architecture is truly beautiful, and the peaceful atmosphere inside makes it a perfect place for quiet reflection. The surroundings are clean and well maintained, adding to the overall serenity of the place. However, it does get quite crowded during holidays, so visiting on a weekday is a better option if you want to enjoy the calm fully. Overall, it’s a must-visit landmark in Delhi.

a week agoI recently visited the Lotus Temple in Delhi, and it turned out to be one of the most calming experiences of my trip. Even with the usual Delhi hustle outside, the moment you step into the complex, the atmosphere completely shifts — quiet pathways, beautifully maintained gardens, and that iconic lotus-shaped structure creating a sense of serenity. Inside the prayer hall, the silence is almost therapeutic. No chanting, no rituals —just a space where anyone, from any faith, can sit, breathe, and reflect. I spent a few unplanned extra minutes simply enjoying the stillness. The volunteer staff was polite, directions were clear, and entry was smooth and well-organized despite the crowd. The architecture alone is worth seeing, but it's really the peaceful vibe that stays with you. If you're in Delhi- whether for sightseeing, work, or just passing through - the Lotus Temple is absolutely worth a visit. A perfect place to take a mental pause and reconnec with yourself.

Entry is free, but be prepared for long queues, especially on weekends and holidays. The security check is thorough, so carry minimal belongings. Inside the prayer hall, complete silence is strictly maintained—there are no idols or rituals, just a calm space to sit and meditate for a few minutes. The gardens outside are well maintained and good for a short walk, but photography is not allowed inside the temple. Visit early in the morning or on a weekday for a smoother experience. Overall, it’s worth visiting once for the architecture and quiet atmosphere, but plan your timing to avoid crowds.

a week agoMixed feelings overall. The Baha’i House of Worship, opened in 1986, has beautiful grounds and is very picturesque, but there isn’t a great deal to actually see or do. We spent about 30–40 minutes from entry to exit, though most of that time was taken up by security screening, shoe drop-off, queuing, shoe collection, and a toilet stop. Time inside the minimalist building itself was only around three minutes, where silence is observed and phones are not allowed. That said, the process is very orderly and well managed, which was appreciated. Security involved a quick bag check and X-ray. For shoes, you collect a bag outside, go down a short flight of stairs on the left for a valet-style drop-off, and receive a numbered token for collection later. Visitors then queue up the steps and are admitted in groups. Inside, it’s calm and quiet - you can sit, reflect, or walk through to the exit. Rating this was difficult. It’s an important landmark in the city with striking architecture, but there’s little to no information provided inside unless you ask staff directly. Personally, I found sites with more historical and architectural context more engaging. Clean squat toilets are available, and modest dress is required.
