Lonad Caves is a great place to visit, especially for those who love being near mountains. Located in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, these caves offer a simple but wonderful experience. The area around the caves feels peaceful and close to nature. Surrounded by beautiful green hills, it’s the perfect place to take a break from city life. The air feels fresh, and it’s quiet – you only hear the sounds of birds and a light breeze, making it relaxing. Also, some chapri people come in the evening. One of the highlights is the sunset view. Watching the sun go down from the caves is an awesome experience. The sky turns shades of orange and pink, creating a magical moment that feels calming. It’s ideal for photography or just sitting and enjoying the view. The caves are ancient, and exploring them feels like stepping back in time. They’re not too big, so walking around and seeing everything is easy. It’s a good spot to visit with friends or family for a peaceful day out. Overall, Lonad Caves is a simple but memorable place to enjoy nature, mountains, and a stunning sunset. I felt really good being there, and it’s worth a visit if you’re nearby!

Good for a one time visit; you will have to walk quite a bit for this. The area is quite deserted. If you are relying on anything other than a personal means of transport, please think twice. I took an auto from Kalyan to this spot, but while trying to get back, had no luck getting any autos due to the remoteness of the area and had to walk over 3 kms and change autos twice to get back to Kalyan.

"Scenic Cycling & Trekking Spot Near Kalyan" One of the best places near Kalyan for cycling and short trekking, with breathtaking views. The ideal time to visit is winter, as it can be a bit dangerous during the rainy season. Since it’s a temple area, please keep the surroundings clean and be kind to the local dogs.

Good.. Nothing much to see except the cave. It's good. Another thing is it's a good family picnic spot nearby to Kalyan/Bhiwandi area people's. But the diversion road which is going towards this spot from the main road is of 1km Or so is very narrow...just single vehicle can pass..so better go there by Bike if possible. There is a somewhat vacant plane area before the caves. You can park your Four Wheelers there. And enjoy Lunch also. Thanks.

Authentic old and very quiet place. Good for people who interested in trekking. Don't expect too much though as very small temple. But genuine old carvings. Someone should help to preserve and try to find more history.
