A Peaceful Retreat with the Best Skyline View in Mumbai ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) If you want a break from the rush of the city without leaving town, Kamala Nehru Park on Malabar Hill is easily one of the best spots to spend a quiet morning or an evening. The highlight of the entire park is the viewing gallery. It looks right over Girgaon Chowpatty and gives you an unmatched, panoramic view of Marine Drive. Visiting around 5:30 PM to catch the sunset and watching the streetlights flick on along the "Queen’s Necklace" is an experience everyone in Mumbai should have at least once. The gardens are clean, breezy, and very well-maintained. The iconic giant Boot House brings pure nostalgia for anyone who grew up visiting it, and it remains a massive hit with kids. There is plenty of shade, wide paved walking tracks, and benches tucked under large banyan trees, making it ideal whether you're going for an evening walk, visiting with family, or hanging out with someone special. Quick Tips for Visitors: Best timing: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for the sunset and evening sea breeze. Entry: Completely free. Bonus: Hanging Gardens (Pheroze Shah Mehta Gardens) is right across the road, so you can easily cover both in a single visit.

Right after the Malabar Elevated Nature Trail, I visited Kamla Nehru Park just above it, and it was a perfect continuation of a calm and refreshing morning. The park offers beautiful panoramic views of the city and feels far more peaceful compared to busier seaside spots like Marine Lines. It is the kind of place where you can simply sit, feel the sea breeze, and take in the surroundings without any rush. Morning time here has a very local, grounded feel. People come for walks, light workouts, and yoga, so it is important to be respectful of the space. Keeping noise low and avoiding littering really helps maintain the calm atmosphere for everyone. The park is well maintained with plenty of trees, flowering plants, and shaded corners that add to its charm. One of the highlights is the lotus blooming pond, which adds a quiet, meditative touch to the landscape. You also have the well known shoe shaped structure for children, a small kids’ play area, and peaceful spots where you may notice birds and small wildlife depending on the time of day. A very important practical point for visitors is access. This entire area is best reached only by public transport. There is no parking available and strict police barricades and check posts are in place, so street parking is not an option at all. Planning your commute in advance makes the visit much smoother. Overall, it is a peaceful green pocket above the city with lovely sea views and a relaxing atmosphere. Best experienced early in the morning, especially between 6 am and 8 am when it is cool, fresh, and not crowded even in summer season.

This park is opposite to hanging garden. It's well maintained. We can see the nice view of the city sea. The most beautiful thing in this park is the Famous for the “Old Woman’s Shoe” structure (inspired by the nursery rhyme) and the beautiful views of Marine Drive. Just love this place

This is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places in mumbai Located opposite to hanging garden this place is must visit if you are visiting mumbai It is located near girgaon Chowpatty and people can also visit marine drive There is a giant shoe house jhoota ghar, which is accessible for kid only. It was quite busy when we visited this place on weekend. The arieal view of the city Sky line Sea view is also amazing. The greenery of this place is well maintained. It was cleaner than I expected. There is no fee to enter the park. Food and drinks are not allowed in the park, but there were local shops outside the park. Washroom is available on the site. There were ample benches for rest shaded Picnic Area. There was abacus kids playing area along with playground. The view of the sea and the city skyline is amazing. Parking is available. Overall, a great place to spend a nice evening. Must visit with friends and family
