Kamla Nehru Park, situated atop Malabar Hill and just opposite the famous Hanging Garden, is an absolute gem. Compared to other gardens, it feels perfectly maintained and peaceful. The park has well-kept paths, good security, and thoughtfully designed spots like the Eco Point and Parrot Spot. From these viewpoints, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean. The garden is an absolute nostalgia for many. The garden is very spacious. The surrounding is clean and green, the walking space is very good. It overlooks the Girgaon Chowpatty. How to reach? 1. Get down at CST 2. Take bus no.103 and get down right outside this park

One of my childhood attractions, Mahataricha boot (Old Ladies Shoes), is also there, and I specially visited to relive that memory. Unfortunately, it’s restricted to kids under 12, which was a bit disappointing. Despite that, the park is well maintained, with clean surroundings and proper seating arrangements, making it perfect for a morning walk or a relaxing outing with close ones. Peaceful, scenic, and nostalgic—it’s definitely a must-visit spot in South Bombay.

Kamla Nehru Park is a pleasant and relaxed spot, especially popular with families and children. The big boot structure—locally known as “Mhatārīchā Boot”—is the main attraction and always a hit with kids. It’s one of those old-school charms that still brings smiles. The garden has a large open area for walking, and you’ll notice several old, well-grown trees, which give the place a mature and calm feel. It’s nice for a slow stroll or just sitting around without any rush. That said, the garden needs improvement when it comes to flowers. Adding more varieties of flowering plants would greatly enhance its beauty and make it more attractive for tourists and photography lovers. Right now, it feels more functional than visually exciting. Entry is free for everyone, which is a big plus. There’s no waiting time, making it an easy stop for a casual outing. Snack sellers are available outside the park, but it’s wise to check food hygiene before eating, as quality can vary. Overall: A good place for a short outing, especially with children. Spacious, calm, and budget-friendly. With better landscaping and more flowers, Kamla Nehru Park has the potential to become an even stronger attraction at Malabar Hill.

Perched atop the verdant crest of Malabar Hill, Kamla Nehru Park serves as a sophisticated sanctuary, offering an aesthetic counterpoint to the adjacent Hanging Gardens. While the latter is celebrated for its structured topiary, Kamla Nehru Park captivates through a seamless synthesis of panoramic grandeur and rhythmic natural topography. The park’s primary allure lies in its unrivaled vantage points. From its expansive promenades, one is treated to an elegant, sweeping vista of the Queen’s Necklace, where the urban sprawl of Mumbai meets the Arabian Sea in a breathtaking maritime embrace. The visual clarity and elevation provide a perspective that is both humbling and exhilarating, making it a premier destination for those seeking contemplative stillness amidst the city's kinetic energy. Beyond the scenic overlooks, the park ingeniously incorporates a micro-trekking forest trail. This winding path offers a brief yet immersive escapade into dense foliage, mimicking a wilderness experience within the heart of a metropolis. The interplay of dappled sunlight and the rugged charm of the short track provides a sensory delight for nature enthusiasts. Whether you are marveling at the iconic "Old Woman's Shoe" or navigating the shaded forest enclaves, the park excels in delivering a refined outdoor experience. It remains a quintessential landmark where elegance and adventure harmoniously coexist…😍
