Mysterious and thrilling, Guna Caves in Kodaikanal offers a spooky yet fascinating experience. Surrounded by dense pine forests, the caves are deep, narrow, and mostly inaccessible, adding to their eerie charm. Great for adventure seekers and photo lovers, but not ideal for the faint-hearted. Safety is a concern—view from a distance is advised. Tip: Visit early, and wear good shoes The caves are located 10 km from Kodaikanal town, along Pillar Rocks Road / Moir Point road.Altitude is about 2,200 m (~2,230 m) above sea level. Kodaikanal Tourism. Address: Pillar Rocks Rd, Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, 624103. The caves are open to visitors daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (or 4:30 pm according to some sources). Visitors can view the caves from a safe distance (they’re barricaded / grilled) but cannot go deep inside. One way route.

Most welcoming spot in Kodaikanal. Must visit with friends for more vibe and enjoyment. Need to be carefull while walking there are more slippery pathway. Most of them fall down due to this slippery mud way. Be carefull and safe. There is not entry ticket and there is no signal. Cash only accepted in near by shops and restroom facilities available with 24/7 water. Monkey problems are there be carefull with snacks and bags. Limited parking facility available. Best tim to visit 3-4 then sun rays will be fallen under.

Also called Devil’s Kitchen, Guna Caves are full of deep and narrow gaps that feel thrilling when you stand near the fence. When I visited, the skies were not clear, so the surrounding views were not visible, also it was quite crowded and there was hardly any space for photos. One of the most striking sights here are the tree roots, which twist and spread in fascinating patterns — almost like nature’s own artwork — and you can easily find pictures of them online. Small shops nearby offer snacks and souvenirs, but the main charm is the adventurous and slightly eerie atmosphere combined with these unique natural formations.

Guna Caves is a wonderful place to visit! The caves are surrounded by beautiful greenery and huge trees, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers. The caves themselves are very interesting, with unique rock formations that are a result of millions of years of natural processes. The atmosphere inside the caves is mysterious and calm, making it a great place to relax and unwind. The history and mythology behind the caves are also very fascinating, adding to their charm. The scenic views from the surrounding hills are amazing, and you can take some great photos there. Overall, Guna Caves is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves nature, adventure, and exploring new places. It's a great spot to connect with nature and experience the beauty of the Western Ghats. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and exciting getaway.
